    Rye is a malt I haven’t used too much. I used it once in an IPA and I wasn’t a fan, but I am a “better brewer” now so I wanted to try using it again. Rye ales brewed commercially can be a bit hit or miss for me. That spicy flavor they can impart sometimes can be off-putting to me, especially when hops are involved.
