  • Hefeweizen with Blood Oranges and Open Fermentation

Full disclosure, I have never brewed a hefeweizen. I just don’t find the style that interesting, but that’s not to say that the style can’t be interesting. This style was chosen due to me asking my YouTube audience what I should brew next, and someone commented that I should brew a fruit or citrus hefeweizen. It was the first comment I saw, and so it shall be done! […]

  • Pumpkin Beer…Mashed in a Pumpkin

I’m a little late posting this, but I wanted to get it in before November ended as Christmas is pretty much in full force already. The process for this was really a lot of guess work. I then carved off the top and took out all the seeds, and simply mashed in. After about 75 minutes, I collected 1.2 gallon-ish at 1.035, and had just under a gallon at 1.054 post-boil after adding some DME at the start of the boil. Piece of cake, right? […]

  • Magic Hat #4 Ways

There really are no rules. The purpose of this experimentation was to learn a bit more about playing with secondaries, but I didn’t want to brew 20 gallons of beer and split it up, or 5 gallons and try only one experiment. So naturally splitting up 5 gallons four ways was the way to go. […]
